Assistant Professor of Social Work, NUS

About

I study how technology and Artificial Intelligence transform social work practice. My mission is to ensure digital progress enhances—rather than replaces—the human heart of social services.

My research focuses on three pillars: evaluative judgement, emotional reflexivity, and epistemic doubt.

I hold a PhD from UNC-Chapel Hill and previously practiced at Fei Yue Family Service Centre. I enjoy making Scratch games with my kids.

Innovation

I lead the SWAT (Social Work and Tech) Lab, building tools for practitioners.

Coming in 2025: SWAT:Share — an open-source community for social service professionals to share AI prompts and apps.
